Plan a private-label camping gear brief

A clear private-label brief connects the product, its packaging and the sales channel. Start with a base model, then separate required changes from optional ones so the quotation can identify cost and lead-time drivers.

Product and branding

Provide the catalog ID, target quantity per color, logo artwork, preferred logo location, material requirements and performance targets. Request a marked artwork proof and a physical sample where appearance or fit matters.

Retail and marketplace packaging

Specify retail box or carry bag, carton pack, instruction language, barcode artwork, country-of-origin marking and channel-specific labeling needs. For Amazon or another marketplace, share the current preparation requirements for your account and fulfillment route.

MOQ and tooling are separate decisions

A stock-format product, a custom color and a new mold may have different minimum quantities and fees. Ask for each cost separately, including tooling ownership, maintenance, exclusivity and design rights where applicable. Catalog MOQs do not establish custom-order MOQs.

Approve before production

  1. Confirm the quotation and exact specification.
  2. Review artwork and sample; record changes in writing.
  3. Approve the reference sample, packaging and inspection criteria.
  4. Confirm production milestones and the procedure for changes.
Product and commercial details must be confirmed for your selected model. This guide is general purchasing information; it does not establish compliance, product availability or a binding quotation.
